"Living the Armenian Church Year"

16 December 2011

A new resource from the Diocese of the Armenian Church of America (Eastern) guides readers on a journey through the sacred calendar of Armenian Christian tradition.

Living the Armenian Church Year surveys the vital, uplifting commemorations of the Armenian Church, as they progress through the "academic year" from September through August.

Geared for Christian educators, the manual is a resource for all people interested in the daily observances and milestones of our church, and how these can instruct and enrich the spiritual lives of Armenian Christians—from ancient times to the present day.

Brief historical essays on the saints and feasts are accompanied by lessons which—while ideal for Sunday School assemblies or classes—will also allow general readers a wonderful opportunity for reflection and inspiration.

Living the Armenian Church Year, featuring background information by the Rev. Fr. Tavit Boyajian, lessons by Dr. Albert Keshgegian, and artful layout and design by Glenn Markarian, is a publication of the Christian Education unit of the Diocese's Department of Youth and Education.

It can be read for free online or downloaded as a PDF to your personal e-reader here.
