Through its ministries and offices, the Diocese supports and enhances
the spiritual growth and cultural initiatives in every parish. The
clergy and lay people who serve the Diocese offer a wealth of experience
and a true commitment to making the Armenian Church significant in the
lives of Armenians across our parishes.
Department of Youth and Education
The Department of Youth and Education oversees Sunday Schools, Armenian
Schools, the ACYOA, summer camps, and adult education initiatives. Its
goal is to provide comprehensive Armenian and Christian educational
opportunities for Armenians of all ages.
The department consists of the following sections: Armenian Studies,
Christian Education, Youth Ministry, and the ACYOA. To learn more about

Department of Communications
The Department of Communications provides information about Diocesan and
parish events, and helps publicize the activities of the Armenian
Church in Armenian and non-Armenian media. Department activities include
the writing of press releases, the production of a weekly eNewsletter,
and the publication of the Diocese's flagship magazine, The Armenian
Church. The Communications Department is also responsible for
photography and videography; it routinely produces short video clips and
multimedia presentations for a growing online audience.
Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center
With thousands of books, videos, maps, pictures, and other resources,
the Krikor and Clara Zohrab Information Center, founded in 1987, helps
researchers, academics, teachers, and the community-at-large learn about
the Armenian community and its rich history. The center also organizes
cultural events, such as lectures, book readings, and film screenings.

Department of Stewardship and Development
The Department of Stewardship and Development designs and coordinates
the Archbishop's Annual Appeal, the main fundraising campaign of the
Eastern Diocese. The department also oversees a number of other
fundraising initiatives and maintains the Diocese's mailing list, as
well as various subscription databases.
Departments of Finance and Facilities
The Department of Finance handles financial and human resource
responsibilities at the Eastern Diocese. It also oversees mail
distribution and office supplies inventory. The Department of Facilities
maintains St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral and the Diocese's offices,

Department of Music Ministry
The Department of Music Ministry works closely with the St. Vartan
Armenian Cathedral Choir and with parish and mission parish choirs
across the Diocese. It produces resource guides and other tools for
organists, choir members, and altar servers who regularly take part in
the celebration of the Divine Liturgy.
